SYNOPSIS

Rosa is a restless girl who lives with her mother's relatives in a remote South Italian village. Her mother’s mysterious death when she was still a child casts a gloomy shadow on her present. When the truth emerges and Rosa realizes she is trapped in a same predestined fate, she decides to betray her family seeking revenge against her own blood. However, when your family belongs to the 'ndrangheta mafia, a single failed step can lead to death.

Francesco Costabile

Born 1980, Cosenza, Italy. Francesco Costabile studied directing at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia - CSC National School of Cinema in Rome, where he made two short films- L’armadio (2004) and Inside Roma (2006) - winner of several awards, including a David di Donatello nomination for Best Italian Short film, Best Film and Best Cinematography Award at Nastri d’Argento (Italian National Syndicate of Film Journalists). He made two documentaries on the great costume designer Piero Tosi – legendary stylist of the greatest Italian films of the 20th century. He also shot In a Future April (2020), a documentary on the young Pier Paolo Pasolini and his deep bond with his homeland. He worked with director Gianni Amelio on the research and documentation for the documentary film Happy to Be Different (2014) and produced Porn To Be Free ( 2016) by Carmine Amoroso, a documentary on the birth of pornography in Italy and its repercussions on culture, art and the fight against censorship. In 2017, he created the queer and post-porno festival Hacker Porn FF in Rome.
