SYNOPSIS

The film centers on the dramatic life and creative legacy of the gifted Armenian artist Vahan Ananyan. Born in Yerevan and disappointed with the Armenian reality (earthquake, war, collapse of the Soviet Union), Vahan leaves and makes art in Tallinn, Kyiv and Odessa.
After Vahan's untimely illness and death, his ashes were divided into three parts and were buried in Tallinn, Odessa and Yerevan.

Harutyun Khachatryan (1955) Director, president of the Union of Film Professionals of Armenia, founding member of the Armenian National Film Academy, voting member of the European Film Academy, People's Artist of RA, winner of the RA State and RA President's Prizes. He graduated from the Kh. Abovyan Armenian State Pedagogical Institute (Film Direction Department, Faculty of Culture), where he studied at famous film director Yuri Yerznkyan’s class. He worked as an assistant director, director in a documentary film studio, then in the "Hayfilm" studio after Hamo Beknazaryan. In 2004, he founded "Golden Apricot" international film festival with his colleagues, and headed it until 2018.
