In 1982, Patrick Mario Bernard entered Metz School of Fine Arts and graduated in 1986. in 1986-95, he worked as a book illustrator and graphic designer, a stage designer, and then a theatre director. He is famous for his cinematic work with Pierre Trividic. With the latter Bernard made the film Ballroom in 2003, documentaries about Howard Phillips Lovecraft, and Blind Spot. He also shot a documentary dedicated to Rudolphe Burger.
