SYNOPSIS
Chinari, an Armenian village. For thirty years, Chinari’s inhabitants have been trying to survive the war between the Azeris and the Armenians and the difficult conditions imposed by the blockade. Among them, there is the Petrossian family. The film accompanies their daily life in their struggle for survival.

Born 1984, in Armenia, he left his country in 2009 to live between France and Armenia. His studied at the Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinema (2001-05), then at Film and Television University of Munich (2006-09) gave him a necessary distance with the history of his country to which he feels ready today to return. In 2010, he participated with his short film project The White Wall at a GREC writing workshop. The trainer was the French director of photography and director Caroline Champetier. In 2015, he wrote and directed his first documentary film The Tree, on the Armenian Genocide. It is an Armenian, French and Turkish co-production. The film was screened in seven countries and received in 2016 the Grand Prix of the Festival Vues Du Monde of Montreal.
