Pema Tseden
Pema Tseden is a Tibetan director, screenwriter and author. His published works, in both Tibetan and Chinese, have received numerous literature awards and have been translated into English, French, German, Japanese and Czech. Most of Pema Tseden’s films were shot in Tibetan language by Tibetan teams. His films, including The Silent Holy Stones, The Search, Old Dog, Tharlo and Jinpa amongst others, have been nominated at the Venice IFF, Locarno IFF, Toronto IFF and other major IFFs, where they have received Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay Awards and over forty other domestic and international prizes.
