In 1982, Andrei Osipov graduated from Odessa University of Technology. In 1955, he finished Advanced Courses for Screenwriters and Filmmakers in E. Tashkov’s Studio. Osipov is a winner of Russian and international film festivals. He is also a laureate of the National Cinematographic Awards Nika (2001, 2004, 2015) and Golden Eagle (2004). Now he is a member of the Nika and Golden Eagle Academy of Cinematographic Arts. Also he is a Laureate of the Russian Government Prize (2005).
