SYNOPSIS
The border between Armenia and Turkey has been closed since 1993. The countries have no diplomatic relations, road and rail links, whereupon there are almost no economic relations. Relatives live on the two sides of tightly closed borders their communication being challenged by the gorge between them. To pass the 300 meters and meet his dying grandfather Simon has to overcome almost 11 000 kilometers. The Simon’s Way is a tragicomic story about the influence of politics on human destinies.

Armenian film director, producer. In 1985, Edgar Baghdasaryan graduated from the Yerevan Veterinary Institute. From 1986 until 1987, he was a director at Armconcert. In 1988, Edgar Baghdasaryan became an assistant director at Haik and Armenfilm Studios in Armenia. Since then, he became a full director at both studios.
