Born 1945, Yerevan, Armenia) In 1969, he graduated from the Directing Department of Yerevan Art and Theatre Insitiute. From that time on he has been working in the Yerevan Documentary Studio (now Haik Studio). Since 1989, he is the director of that studio. Ruben Gevorgyants is the author of about 60 documentaries and some features films.
