SYNOPSIS
The docu-drama focuses on the journey of famous writer William Saroyan to the birthplace of his Armenian family in Bitlis, Turkey in 1964. While retaking the same road, the film aims to understand Saroyan's unique attitude to belonging, witnessing the self-discovery of a man who followed the traces of his Armenian ancestors.

Lusin Dink
Born 1981, Istanbul, Turkey. From 1998-2003 Dink studied at the Istanbul Bilgi University, Faculty of Communications, Department of Cinema-TV. During her education she independently co-directed a short film called Threep. Her career in film production as an assistant director began in 2003 after graduating and becoming the assistant of Tomris Giritlioglu. She has worked over 15 international projects as assistant director. SaroyanLand is her first feature film as a director.
