SYNOPSIS
A drama that lasts one day- 18-year-old Marek lives near the Slovak-Moravian border with his dad and racist hooligan friends. His best friend is his dog. Marek’s life is shaken up when he discovers the secret of his lost mother, Marika.

Born 1977, Bratislava, Czechoslovakia. Fornay’s first feature, Little Foxes premiered in the International Critic’s Week competition during the 2009 Venice IFF. The film travelled to top world festivals such as Pusan, Warsaw, Stockholm, Rotterdam, Seattle and many others. Fornay received several awards for Little Foxes in Slovakia such as The Best Young Filmmaker for 2008-2009 awarded by Slovak Film and TV Academy, Slovak Film Critics’ Award for 2010 and the prize for The Most Talented Filmmaker under the age of 35 awarded by Tatra bank in 2010. My Dog Killer won the best script in Slovakia Awards of Tibor Vichta 2009 and the project was selected at Berlinale co-production market 2010. In addition it won the honorable mentioning at the Agora “Works in Progress” meetings of the Thessaloniki IFF, 2012.
