SYNOPSIS
Anri Khachatryan is a member of the religious organization, Jehovah’s Witnesses. In 2000 he was imprisoned for 2 years for refusing to serve in the army, and now, on September 29, 2012,the time for freedom has come. At the entrance of the prison, Nubarashen Criminal-Executive Institution, his friends and relatives gather to greet him. On the way from the prison to his home in Shengavit, Anri talks about his principles, which led to his imprisonment and notions of freedom and limitation. His father and mother who have been eagerly waiting for this moment for the past two years are waiting at home. During the film, four other followers of the religious organization, who at different periods were imprisoned for the same reason, tell their stories.

Vahan Ishkhanyan
Born 1964, Yerevan, Armenia. A writer and journalist, Ishkhanyan studied Philology at Yerevan State University. He worked at several paperback and digital news agencies as a columnist and editor. Throughout 2003-2004 he published a collection of his novels titled, Hairless and Reckoning;Persecutionandresistance. He is the co-author of The freedom of religion in Armenia, a research texton political persecution. Together with his fellow followers, Ishkhanyan founded and currently directs the Inknagir literary club. His website is www.tert.am.

Seda Grigoryan

Seda Grigoryan
Born 1990, Yerevan, Armenia. Grigoryan started her career in media at an early age. From 2005-2007 she worked as a journalist at Internews NGO and later at Ar TV Company from 2007-2008. In 2008-09, she directed TV programs and while studying at the Department of Documentaries of Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinema (2006-2011). Grigoryan was awarded a merit-based scholarship for a one-year exchange in Media Production with Florida State University, USA in 2009. Since 2010, she has been the Video Production Manager at Civilatas Foundation. Grigoryan has directed several videos, short films and documentaries.
