Anca Miruna Lăzărescu

Born in Romania, Anca M. Lăzărescu emigrated with her family to Germany in 1990. She attended numerous scriptwriting workshops. She worked on the comedy TV series, Scrubs in Los Angeles and attended summer classes at UCLA. In 2000 Anca began her studies at the German Academy for Film and Television in Munich. She directed several documentary and short films which attracted international interest. The Secret of Deva was sold to over 10 territories and received the award for Best Emerging German Film, 2007. One Day Today Will Be Once won at the Syracuse FF, was nominated for the Best German Short Film at the Oberhausen IFF in 2010 and was invited to different international festivals, including Rotterdam, Nyon and Sapporo.
