Little Torik was a shy child. Everything was going fine until he grew up and married a girl from a brothel. The town could not forgive him for that, but the young man showed a resolution and courage in defense of his happiness.

Malyan, Henrik

Henrik Malyan (1925, Telavi, Georgia – 1988, Yerevan)
1942-45, draftsman, contractor’s steward at a plant in Tbilisi. 1951, graduated from the Directing Department of Theatre Institute in Yerevan. 1953, graduated from the Higher Directing Courses at Moscow Theatre Institute. 1951-54, director of different Armenian theatres. From 1954 to 1988, worked at Hayfilm Studio.
