Teo Angelopoulos - always in our hearts

Being 77 years old, Teodoros Angelopoulos, a Greek filmmaker, one of the world’s most respected representative of cinema, was killed in an accident at the shooting place. Teo Angelopoulos was an Honorary guest for GOLDEN APRICOT IFF in 2010. During the festival was organized the retrospective of the Maestro’s films and he was awarded by “Parajanov’s Thaler” for his outstanding contribution to world cinema.
We truly recall his deepest reasonings during master classes, the modesty which is special to great masters, his sincere interest in Armenia and in Armenian culture. He was doing his best to travel and see much in Armenia, maybe having an idea to shoot a film in Armenia. Unfortunately, the fate turned otherwise.
