Jul 8, 2011	Fanny Ardant is Guest at Golden Apricot During the last press-conference before the opening of the Golden Apricot Film Festival, the Director of the Festival Harutyun Khachatryan announced the surprising news: “The last gift, that we would like to present you before the start of the Festival, is the visit of my beloved and, I am sure, your beloved, outstanding actress Fanny Ardant. We are inviting you to meet with her before the opening ceremony of the festival on July 10 at 1 p.m. in the Red Hall of Moscow Cinema”.

Jun 24, 2011	Golden “Apricot Stone” “Golden Apricot” 8th Yerevan Film Festival has a new competition program, “Apricot Stone,” which includes short films. Today during the press conference the organizers of the competition program film directors Aram Shahbazyan, Vardan Hakobyan, Gagik Ghazare, Lusine Sargsyan and script writer Astghik Simonyan presented the selected films and the jury members.

Jan 26, 2012	Teo Angelopoulos - always in our hearts Being 77 years old, Teodoros Angelopoulos, a Greek filmmaker, one of the world’s most respected representative of cinema, was killed in an accident at the shooting place. Teo Angelopoulos was an Honorary guest for GOLDEN APRICOT IFF in 2010. During the festival was organized the retrospective of the Maestro’s films and he was awarded by “Parajanov’s Thaler” for his outstanding contribution to world cinema.

Dec 23, 2011	The Scriptwriting Documentary Workshop in Armenia is Over Financed by European Union, Eurasiadoc Project together with Directors Across Borders program of Golden Apricot Yerevan IFF have organized a two-week Scriptwriting Documentary Workshop in Armenia for the first time from November 28 to December 11.
Dec 22, 2011	The Subsequent Films of Armenia-Turkey Cinema Platform Armenia-Turkey Cinema Platform prides itself on producing new films. In October, 2011, Nigol Bezjian’s “A Tour in the Streets of Bolis” and Adrineh Gregorian’s “Back to Gürün” films were shot and currently in the editing stage. Those films will have their world premiere at the 9th Golden Apricot Yerevan Int’l Film Festival.
