Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s Award to GAIFF

Hollywood Foreign Press Association awarded GAIFF with an award which is the worthy estimation of the Armenian International Film Festival by this prestigious organization of cinema journalists and film critics. This association was present at Golden Apricot for the first time. It acknowledges the international prestige and high rating of the festival.

Joran Kohanan, member of Hollywood Foreign Press Association, handed the award to Harutyun Khachatryan, GAIFF Director. “Our representatives visit the largest European festivals annually: Venice, Cannes and Berlin, however we are also trying to expand the framework of developing and promising festivals. We had heard about GAIFF a lot: today we are here and delighted. By this award we wish to emphasize the success and importance of the Armenian festival”, he said.

Hollywood Foreign Press Association was founded in the early 50s and is known today for the prestigious Golden Globe Award for cinema, which annually marks the best films and actors of the year.
