In the southern islands of Iran, people make their living through smuggling. It is a living filled with anxiety and fear. With their boats, they traverse the stormy seas in the dead of night hoping to avoid the coastal police. But at times, it is the menacing sea that devours them. The stories of a young boy who has lost his father in the sea, and of a mute girl, who has lost her husband the day after her wedding are entwined with the odyssey of a man whose wife intends to leave the country illegally.
