A girl named Alisa lives by the sea, leting life carry her along, never struggling, always adapting to changing conditions and historical events. The only unusual thing about Alisa is her gift of making wishes come true. Finding herself in Moscow, she gets acquainted to a man with a cross on his chest that read “Save and Protect.” Alisa casts a glance at the man, and her life changes forever.

| Melikyan, Anna Anna Melikyan (born 1976, Baku)
Writer and director, Anna Melikyan grew up in Yerevan. She moved to Moscow in 1994, where she took up studies at the VGIK (Russian State Institute of Cinematography) in Sergei Soloviev’s and Valery Rubinchik’s class. Melikyan had a postproduction internship on a number of productions in Germany in 2001. After graduating in 2002 she began working for television. Produced in 2004, her first feature film Mars received great acclaim. She also directed Poste Restante (2000), which won the City of Melbourne Award for best short experimental film at the Melbourne IFF.
