| Ceylan, Nuri Bilge Nuri Bilge Ceylan (born 1959, Istanbul)
Director and photographer. After graduating from Electrics and Electronics Engineering Department of Bosphorus University, Istanbul, he studied Film Making for two years at Mimar Sinan University, Istanbul. In Cannes-2003 his Uzak (Distant) won the Grand Prize of the Jury and The Best Actor Prize (Muzaffer Ozdemir & Emin Toprak). In Cannes-2004 Ceylan was awarded the France Culture Award as the Foreign Cineaste of the Year.
