A story of a passionate love affair between an American woman of northern Irish descent, a successful microbiologist and a Middle-Eastern man, who once worked as a doctor but was forced to flee his home in Beirut and now works as a chef. They confront some of the greatest conflicts of our generation: religious, political and sexual.

Potter, Sally

Sally Potter (born 1949, London)
She began working as a choreographer, dancer, singer and saxophonist in 1969, which was when she also began experimenting in film. She scored an international role in 1992 with the Virginia Woolf adaptation, Orlando. She appeared in the leading role along side tango dancer, Pablo Veron, in her film, The Tango Lesson.
