He trained at the UK’s National Film & Television School. His 2007 documentary, The End for Beginners, was nominated for awards at festivals all over the world, including Edinburgh, Krakow, Brooklyn, Beirut, Kosovo, Dinard, Bilbao, Split, also Camerimage in Lodz, Visions du Réel in Nyon, Message to Man in St. Petersburg. David is also a writer, with completed screenplays for Film Four and BBC Films. His first novel, Last Stop Salina Cruz, was published last year to critical acclaim.
