The grandfather of a young Armenian girl living in Istanbul, Turkey asks her every year on New Year’s Eve, to crack a pomegranate in front of the door of their apartment. Then, he explains about the meaning of the pomegranates for the Armenians, and finally they count the seeds of another pomegranate together. She graduated from Yeşilköy Armenian Primary School and Saint Benoît French High School. After getting her associate degree in Biology from the Pierre and Marie Curie University (Paris 6), she continued her studies in the Film and TV department of Istanbul Bilgi University. She worked in the Armenian Turkish weekly newspaper Agos as reporter in its culture and art department (2007-2008). She is producing a program named Pelikűlűn Sesi (The Sound of the Film Strip) on an online radio station (www.norradyo.com). Since February 2009 she has been working in Anadolu Kűltűr as project assistant.
