The film tells about the prejudicial effects the law called 4/C had on tobacco workers, and about their 78 days of resistance in their tents (from December 2009 until March 2010) against the losses caused to them by the AKP government. The documentary touches upon the resistance of a Kurdish working woman, who is away from her children. She tells her views about her and her comrades’ struggle against the government’s decision to curtail their acquired rights. | Utku, MuratMurat Utku (born 1972)
Studied in Naval High School and Naval Academy, later was admitted to, and graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Political Sciences/Economy and Politics. He worked as a TV journalist for such national and international TV Stations as CNN Turk, Haberturk, and TRT Turk. He was a representative journalist of TRT Turk in Jerusalem. He has often travelled to the South Eastern part of Turkey to work on Kurdish issues. He has experience on “crisis” and “conflict resolution”, and has been to such areas of crisis as the Middle East, Iraq (during the American invasion), Kosovo, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Palestine and Armenia as TV correspondent.
