Perovic has specialized in Directing at the School of Drama Arts, Belgrade, Serbia. He directs creative documentaries, and occasionally short fictions. His films have been screened at the festivals worldwide. He has won 35 prizes and awards both in Yugoslavia (Serbia & Montenegro) and abroad. Perovic used to teach Documentary Art at Academy of Arts Brothers Karic in Belgrade. He has been jury member in Yugoslavia, Germany, Russia, Iran and Romania. He lives in Belgrade and works both in Serbia and Montenegro.
