The cruel reality of the children living on the streets of Lima, Peru; by means of begging, consuming drugs, and stealing, struggling for survival. While shooting this documentary amidst fights, police raids and disputes, our own crew also fell victim to the physical abuse of the violent gangs.

Bukin, Marcelo

Marcelo Bukin was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and graduated with honors from the Centre díEstudis Cinematografics de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain, where he studied film direction. Marcelo has explored and filmed the every-day lives of people of many cultures in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Latin America. After making various short films in Spain, he was the production manager of The Children of Nepal, which won the 2004 Goya Award (Spanish version of the Oscar) for best documentary short film. Marcelo is currently developing a documentary feature film about the socio-economical crisis of his home country, Argentina, meanwhile directing, producing, and acting in television commercials and independent projects.
