As the world is engulfed in a storm of propaganda, we capture a very different reality in Iraq. In January 2003, the inevitability of the US-led conflict increased in Baghdad. Filming behind enemy lines, to produce the only documentary of the changes in the lives of the Iraqi society and people.We follow these people as they prepare for the Coalition war against them, continuing to listen their stories as they became the target for tens of thousands of coalition cruise missiles and guided bombs.

Coles-Janess, Wayne

Wayne Coles-Janess
He is a graduate from the Film School at the Queensland College of Art. Has worked as Producer - Director for the highest rating drama and documentary programs on Australian television. In the Shadow of the Palms is the only documentary shot during the last weeks of Saddam's Government. Loles-Janess has been at international film festivals across the Globe including Turkey, USA, Brazil, Canada, Japan, Spain, Germany, Greece and Iran and a judge at international film festivals.
