Was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She graded in Journalism and left the newsroom five years ago to embrace documentary filmmaking. She specialized in Screenplay at Esculea International de Cine TV at San Antonio de Los Banos, Cuba; film direction with Iranian filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami; documentary direction with Joao Moreira Salles; Cinema and Anthropology (Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro). She also works as a producer and screenplay writer.
