In 1979 graduated from Moscow Art Theatre (MKHAT) Studio and in 1988 from the directing department of Moscow Cinema Institut (VGIK). Now he is the president of the Association of Young Cinematographers - member of Gorki Studio board of directors – and the head of Central Partnership producing center.
