This film depicts the life of a Russian family in a small village after World War II. It concerns the fate of a beautiful woman who has to work hard as a tractor driver to support her disabled husband, who came home from the war an amputee. The humor, love for the characters, and sadness for the time and people who passed away, make this film a unique event in modern Russian cinema.

She graduated as a philosopher from Kazan University. She worked in republican and foreign-language newspapers. She has been writing scripts since 1986. In 1989, she directed her first documentary. Her documentaries were awarded at national and international film festivals. She has made films for television. She is a member of the Russian Film Academy. “Harvest Time,” is her first feature film.
