In 1999, he graduated from the Acting Department of Moscow Art Theater School. In 1995, he graduated from the Directing Department of the Institute of Cinematogrphy in Moscow (VGIK). His debut was The Mirror by Andrey Tarkovsky. Author of more than 100 videoclips, he worked in advertising. He shot his first feature film, In movement, in 2002.
