An old woman named Ayshe lives in a fishing village. Ever since her sister's death, Ayshe has become more and more of a recluse, shutting herself off from the rest of the village community. Two village boys show genuine concern for the old lady, but the rest of the village begin to harbor suspicions about her behavior. One day, a stranger named Tanasis arrives on the scene. After studying architecture at Yildiz University in Istanbul she worked as an architect. Then she was a film journalist, as well as a tutor and an organizer of video workshops. She landed a big role on the international theatrical circuit with Journey to the Sun, which won the Blue Angel award at the Berlinale in 1999.
