The old bridge destroyed during the Second World War has been rebuilt. The Bridge connects the Romanian town Sighet with the Ukrainian town of Solotvina (Slatina). But nobody is allowed to cross the new bridge. Friends and family members can communicate only by shouting across the river. The film confronts us with the absurdity of political reasoning.
