The film chronicles desperation and mourning in the marginalized Armenian quarter of Beirut. In a panic, Hrag has stolen his father's gun and fled home. As father searches for son, both discover paths to personal freedom in a city that offers no escape.

| Boulghourjian, Vatche Vatche Boulghourjian (born 1975, Kuwait)
Filmmaker and video artist based in Beirut and New York. Much of his work focuses on questions of identity and political and social narratives of the Middle East. He has directed, shot, and edited several documentaries, short and experimental films. At the Graduate Film Program of the New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts his thesis film, The Fifth Column, was awarded a production grant from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and premiered at the Cinéfondation program of the Cannes IFF 2010 where it was awarded third prize.
