The villagers are abandoned to themselves, constrained to cultivate soil to survive and prepare for hard winters with no external help to expect. The villagers feel unprotected against the major economic problems of the country. The C.S.O.E. (Relief committee for orphans and students) arrives in Ltchap for 3 weeks at its first humanitarian support action to renovate the worn-out classes and the gymnasium of the school and to organize activities for children who do nothing to do in summertime. The members of organization aged 20 to 25, have never been engaged in nay manual work before
The days are full of hardships for them. They feel like being far away from the rest of the world, but the villagers are grateful for the help of the French and surprised at the same time.
