Mariam Ohanyan was born in Yerevan in 1965. After graduating from the Department of Applied Mathematics at the Yerevan State University, she entered the post-graduate program at the Department of Sociology. She has also taken filmmakers courses. Her films have participated in different film festivals including Kinoshok 2004 (Anapa, Russia), Isfahan 2004 (Iran), Golden Apricot 2005 (Armenia), Armenian Film Festival 2006 (San-Francisco, USA), International Women’s Film Festival Dortmund/Koln 2007 (Germany) and others. She is the director of KIN International Women’s FF since 2004.
