1992, Karabagh. A military unit evacuates inhabitants from the bombarded territories. The militaries see an old man sitting next to his half ruined home at the roadside. In no way does he agree to leave his home…

Mkrtchyan, Narine and Azatyan, Arsen

Narine Mkrtchyan (born 1960, Yerevan)
Arsen Azatyan (born 1959, Yerevan)
They both graduated from the Film Directing Department of Armenian Yerevan Pedagogical Institute. In 1981–1986 worked at Hayfilm State Studio as director assistants, since 1987 – as film-directors and scriptwriters. In 1990 they established AYSOR after AYSOR-PLUS FILM PRODUCTIONS, where made two feature and four short fiction films. The films have been shown and awarded in several international film festivals, including those in Berlin (Special mention), Moscow, Ekaterinbourgh (Special prize), Montreal, Rotterdam (Special prize), Neon (Special mention), Edinburgh, Taormina, Odense, Barselona, and etc.
