GAIFF: DAY 2

The second day of the 14th Golden Apricot IFF was full of events. The day started with the press conferences: the Armenian Panorama participants presented their films: Levon Minassian, (Bravo,Virtuoso!), Gor Margaryan (Hydography),  Grigor Poghosyan (Where are we going), Sona Kocharyan and Marine Kocharyan (Murat), Panos Abrahamyan (Sranger), Ashot Mktrchian (Origin), and Vahe Khachatryan (Strokes of Light).

The Armenia-Turkey Cinema Platform was officially opened. The jury and the participants were presented.

Director and screenwriter Boris Khlebnikov had a master class at AGBU. 

A Touch of Wind by Olga Veremeeva, Elena Demidova, Arrhythmia by Boris Khlebnikov had their YEREVAN PREMIERE.

The Polish Film Day was opened with the screening of Afterimage by Andrzej Wajda.  The great Polish master passed away last year at the age of 90, so the screening of his last film was a way of paying tribute to him. Speeches were made by Jerzy Marek Nowakowski,Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Armenia and Susanna Harutyunyan, artistic director of GOLDEN APRICOT IFF.

Later on the open air screenings continued in Bogosyan Gardens. Gimme Dange by Jim Jarmusch and Tom Catena by Vardan Hovhannisyan were screened.
The second day of the festival was wrapped up at a midnight meeting at The Club.
