GOLDEN APRICOT Yerevan IFF 13th edition Awards

On 16 July, 2016 13th GOLDEN APRICOT Yerevan International Film Festival came up to the official closing ceremony.  Stunning Jacqueline Bisset was awarded with Parajanov’s Thaler.

The Boards of Juries of International Feature, International Documentary, Armenian Panorama National Competitions, as well as the FIPRESCI and Ecumenical Juries announced the results of competition programs:

 

 

INTERNATIONAL FEATURE COMPETITION

Golden Apricot: Ungiven/dir. Branko Schmidt (Croatia)

Silver Apricot: Immortal/dir. Seyed Hadi Mohaghegh (Iran)

Jury Special Mention: The Prosecutor the Defender the Father and the Son/dir. Iglika Triffonova (Bulgaria/The Netherlands/Sweden)

 

INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTARY COMPETITION

Golden Apricot: Across the Don/dir. Evgeny Grigorev (Russia)

Silver Apricot: Don Juan/dir. Jerzy Sladkowski (Sweden/Findland)

Jury Special Mention: Curumim/dir. Marcos Prado (Brazil)

   

 

ARMENIAN PANORAMA NATIONAL COMPETITION: 
Golden Apricot (Best Armenian Feature): Good Morning/dir.Anna Arevshatyan (Armenia)

Golden Apricot (Best Armenian Documentary): Stony Paths/dir. Arnaud Khayadjanian (France)

Golden Apricot (Best Armenian Short): Leopard’s Silence/dir. Viken Armenian (France)

Jury Special Mention: 28:94 Local Time/dir. David Safarian (Armenia/Germany/The Netherlands)

   

Hrant Matevosyan Award for the Best Script in the Armenian Panorama:

 This year for the first time a new award was bestowed - Festival’s president Award. It was given to Anna Melikyan for her film About Love (2015).
