GOLDEN APRICOT IFF: Day SixthBack 16 July 2016 10:22
The start of the 13th GOLDEN APRICOT IFF was with press conferences with the participants Aleksander Andranikyan (All that jam, Armenian Panorama National Competition), Anna Arevshatyan (Good Moorning, Armenian Panorama National Competition), Borislav Kolev (Salto Mortale, International Documentary Competition), Benjamin Huguet (The Archipelago, International Documentary Competition), as well as Evgeny Grigorev and Anna Selyanina (Across the don, International Documentary Competition).
Fred Kelemen (director/cinematographer from Germany/Hungary), Kirill Razlogov (film and art critic from Russia) and Alexander Grozev, founder and artistic director of LOVE IS FOLLY IFF in Varna, were awarded with GOLDEN MEDAL of Ministry of Culture of RA for promoting Armenian cinema.
On the second half of the day Andrey Loshak, documentary filmmaker, had a meeting/master-class at the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU).
The start of FRENCH NEW CINEMA was celebrated with the screening of Two Remis, Two by Pierre Léon. The 6th day was full of premieres: A Very Ordinary Citizen (2015) by Majid Barzegar and Memories of the Wind (2015) by Özcan Alper had their Yerevan Premieres.
Yerevan Nights continued at Boghossian Gardens: The Tempest by Derek Jarman was screened. The fifth day of the festival was wrapped up during the midnight meeting at The Club.
